CYNTHIA ROWELY FALL 2011
I love that I am seeing these rich greens and royal blues on the Fall 2011 runway. Cynthia Rowely is full of asymmetrical designs and rich velvet gowns, sheer separates and simple day dresses paired with waist band belts. I love the oversized sack-like dresses, they appear roomy but still sexy. I am obsessed with the prints mixed in with navy blues and forest greens as well.
Alice+Olivia
I love Alice and Olivia as a brand. I feel as though they make it special to be a young woman in the world. The Fall 2011 line seems so 70's retro and delicate with unique beading, furs, and sophisticated sequins. This line represents the fashionable socialite or the stylish fashionista student. The deep reds and plum purples accent the style of hippie chic trends for the future.
Staying true to girly chic style, Alice+Olivia deliver a powerful insight to a fashion forward girl on the go. Here are a few of my favorite looks:
Fall 2011
When new seasons are up for preview, I always turn to www.elle.com to see the newest looks and trends. They always have the front row seat to fashion week. And first up today is one of my favorite lines, 3.1 Phillip Lim. I love the ponchos and new spin on harem pants The mixtures of leather and brighter colors for the fall are genius. The color palate is just beautiful and simple.
Fall is and will always be my favorite season for fashion. Layering and being creative with shapes and material, I feel, is more challenging. And if a designer can master that skill and create RTW looks that trickle down and influence trends, I am a fan. 3.1 Philip Lim does just that. Royal blues, greens, soft peaches and intense grays... a very strong collection. Here are some of my favorite looks from his collection:
